U.S. Marines sweep across Iwo Jima in their continued bid to eliminate Imperial Japanese forces from the island. Entrenched in the hills of Iwo Jima are numerous Japanese gun emplacements which must be captured in order to complete the conquest of Iwo Jima.

The Guns of Iwo Jima features two large hills located on opposing sides of the playing field.  The southern hill is nearly 30 feet high giving the occupying troops a superior vantage point over their opponents. Trees top the hill protecting the hills occupants from incoming enemy fire. The northern hill is rung with trenches and bunkers offering the occupying troops numerous advantageous points of fire.
